More information

The most outstanding feature of this unique ranch is the 3 miles of both sides of beautiful Pinto Creek. It is a crystal clear live-water creek that flows year round through this ranch under normal rainfall conditions. Along the creek are majestic rock bluffs, running rapids, natural water falls, and some beautiful blue green crystal water.  It's like having a Hill Country Creek in South Texas which is very unique.  There are many stretches of creek that would be excellent fly fishing for bass and perch.

This ranch has a great combination of approximately 6,800 acres of prime hunting country with fantastic deer habitat and approximately 5,100 acres of excellent cattle country covered in very good grass turf.  The 5,100 acre cattle portion currently has two 150 acre pivots tied into an irrigation well which is capable of irrigating 300 acres.  This well is estimated to be over 1,000 feet deep, is an Edwards Acquifer well and is capable of producing 300 - 350 gallons per minute.  There is tremendous potential to have more irrigation pivots.   4,100 acres was at one time one of the largest cabbage farms in America. There is very strong underground water and there are approximately 4 - 5 other older irrigation wells in the Edwards formation which flow artesian water that are diverted into a couple of small lakes on the ranch. There is tremendous potential to build more lakes on this ranch. The owner has 5,500 acre feet of permitted water rights that will convey with the sale.    The remaining 6,800 acres is a good mixture of South Texas brushes, excellent deer habitat, and a reasonable amount of grasses mixed in as well for grazing. There is a paved landing strip approximately 5,000+/- ft. in length next door to this ranch that a new owner would have privileges to use.

IMPROVEMENTS: There is a very nice 6,500 +/-  sq. ft. beautiful rustic ranch house  sitting on the banks of Pinto Creek with a nice view of a beautiful stretch of water backed up by a dam on Pinto Creek. The ranch is completely high game fenced and there are several miles of good all weather roads. Located a couple of miles away from the ranch house is a very nice rustic 3,000 - 3,500 sq. ft. hunting lodge with 6 individual guest casitas each with their own bath for guests. There is a water well for each set of improvements that supply adequate water to the living accommodations.   There is a skeet range and kennels for quail dogs.

WILDLIFE: The ranch is completely high fenced and offers excellent Whitetail hunting and  exotics such as Axis deer, Red Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, and Aoudad. There is fantastic dove hunting and for the 2015 season there is very good numbers of bobwhite quail. Excellent numbers of wild turkey live along the creek also.   A truly remarkable game and bird paradise! The 3 miles of Pinto Creek creates a major game highway and habitat.

MINERALS:  Owner believes he owns 20 - 25% on approximately 6,800 acres of the ranch and is offering 1/2 of what he owns. There is no oil or gas wells on this ranch and no oil or gas leases.
