More information

Land: The Y.O. Hunting Retreat features 115 +/- Acres of rolling topography and gentle bottom land with over 130 feet of elevation change. Native foliage provides thick cover for the free-range Whitetail, game birds, and trophy Y.O. Exotics. Given it’s tree cover and location in the Ranchlands, the Y.O. Hunting Retreat pulls in some of the largest animals found within the 10,000 + acre community. Several hunting stations are spread throughout the ranch with ATV trails leading to each blind. The ranch has paved road frontage and makes for easy access and a short drive from the gate located on HWY 83. The Y.O. Headquarters adjoins the ranch to the south and with an equal sized neighbor to the West.

Improvements: Built to withstand the elements, the +/- 1,500 SqFt barndominium is complete with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living area, Central A/C and heat, HCTC phone and internet, and Satellite TV. Comfortable enough for full time living, the lodge is perfect for a hunting retreat or weekend getaway. High vaulted ceilings make the living quarters feel much larger and the open concept kitchen is perfect for entertaining guests. If desired, the 30X20 insulated shop area could be finished out for additional bedrooms and bath.

Outside, the covered porch area is a great place for storing gear and taking in the hill country after hunts. Licensed septic is in place and water is provided by the Edwards Aquifer well. Water storage is located inside a covered well house near the lighted game-cleaning area.

Wildlife: The Y.O. Hunting Retreat offers world class hunting that cannot be found anywhere else on a ranch this size. The YO Ranchlands consistently produces trophy Whitetail and Exotics including Axis, Fallow, Blackbuck, Sika, and Aoudad. Turkey and game birds are abundant on the ranch as well. The 10,000-acre Ranchlands consist mostly of unfenced land and is game managed, allowing landowners and their guests to take high-quality animals year after year. Due to the population of exotic species, landowners are able enjoy hunting year ‘round. Several blinds and feeders are set up throughout the ranch and ready to be hunted. Animals are free to roam the 10,000 acres relieving landowners of the headache that comes with owning a small, high-fenced ranch.

Amenities and YO Headquarters: The Kudu Ranch is much more than a hunting ranch. Each landowner has access to the famed Y.O. Headquarters where you can dine at the Chuck Wagon Diner, take a dip in the pool, and enjoy private safari tours of exotic African species.

The Headquarters is host to several events throughout the year including the exotic game sale, Combat Marine Outdoors hunt and BBQ, weddings, corporate retreats, and live music at the new amphitheater to come in the fall.
